Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion drop collab single ‘WAP’

Original Article

Rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have released a joint single, entitled ‘WAP’, today (August 7).

Both artists took to social media on Tuesday (August 4) to tease the track’s release. It arrives accompanied by a music video, directed by Colin Tilley. Watch it below:

‘WAP’ marks Cardi B’s first original release for 2020 and is a follow-up to Megan Thee Stallion’s March record, ‘Suga’, which featured the hit track ‘Savage’.

Late last month, Megan Thee Stallion updated fans on her situation after sustaining injuries from being shot in both of her feet. She said she had to undergo surgery, but the bullet missed any bones or tendons.

“I had to get surgery to get the shit taken out, to get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary,” she said in an Instagram Live session.

This is a huge collab from two of Rap’s biggest stars Cardi and Megan. It’s great to see female rapper collaborating rather than competing as is so often encouraged for them. Let’s hope this is the first of many singles from the duo.
