Guitar-driven and dark, The Quest is an accomplished Alt-Rock single from the talented InHibit that makes it as this week’s Sound of the Underground track.
The Quest has a distinct and dynamic old-school rock feel; with heavy guitars, curious lyricism and powerful drums, the single is scary good.
Brussels-based InHibit is here to establish himself as one of Europe’s most exciting Alt-Rock artists. With ear-worm melodies and a gritty vocal style to match, The Quest is a stark introduction to InHibit and one that will certainly leave you wanting more.
Just when we thought his music couldn’t make a longer lasting impression, InHibit brings us a haunting and cinematic music video to accompany an already deeply dark single.
Shot beautifully, styled aptly and themed perfectly, The Quest’s visuals are incredibly thought provoking, theatrical and intense.
It’s easy to understand how The Quest has racked up just shy of 400,000 views on Youtube alone so far. Don’t believe us?

InHibit (also known as Noah Roovers), is something of a musical enigma. The Algo-Belgian composer and self-confessed poet has ventured into racing and has even qualified as a lawyer. An unconventional background to say the least, but one that has infused InHibit’s sound with a sense of worldly knowledge, intelligence and depth.
Composed entirely by InHibit, The Quest is an accomplished track that is truly his own creation. Having conspired the track’s deep lyrical content, keyboard sections and delivered the vocals, InHibit is a one-man wonder band.
The Quest may remind you of Alt-Rock’s 90s glory days, with an air of Rock and Roll nostalgia and elements reminiscent of Evanescence and Nirvana. InHibit’s musical prowess, and vivid storytelling ability (coupled with some of the best visuals we’ve seen this year), make The Quest an easy pick as this week’s Sound of the Underground.
