StarMoney is back to remind us why UK Rap hosts some of the baddest and best MCs in the game.
Latest single from StarMoney – ‘Catfish’ – comes in collaboration with fellow lyrical master Snap Capone.
Bouncing and bodacious, ‘Catfish’ is a heavy-hitter of a track full of quick witted word-smithery and unbelievably good flows. StarMoney’s style is unapologetic; abandoning all gimmicks and fakery he firmly establishes himself as a genuine entertainer and a legitimate rap talent.
‘Catfish’ is all about the disappearance of authenticity, and the importance of calling out the illusion of instagram filters and social media posers. StarMoney explains:
“Catfish is about fake portrayal. For example, someone might be pretend to be a real gangster or a rich person in flesh or on the internet but in reality that is not what they are really about.
Nowadays there are a lot of guys out there pretending to be gangsters or rich bawlers when really they are not. Instead, they fool the public by using their Instagram pretending to be someone of money and power on the streets or even off the streets and they use this act to gain status, publicity and fame.”

StarMoney has had a rather odd path to success, finding himself as one of the most respected breeders of American Bulldogs in the UK. With his eyes firmly on the prize, StarMoney now looks to establish himself as top of the class in the UK Rap scene.
Perhaps most commendable is StarMoney’s drive to motivate the younger generation and steer them away from drugs, knives and gun crime.
Creating a sound in the typically dark themed genres of Trap and Drill, StarMoney aims to promote a more positive message in the scene, and strive for change.
