A new name is emerging in UK country and Americana as Devan prepares to release his debut single, “Wyatt Earp,” on Friday 3rd April 2026. The Cambridgeshire artist arrives with a sound shaped by personal history, local identity and a strong sense of authenticity. For Devan, this first release is more than a debut track; it is the starting point of a deeply personal creative path.
Hailing from March, Devan has spoken proudly about his roots as a “Fen boy,” and his upbringing in a close family has had a lasting influence on his music. “Wyatt Earp” is particularly significant because it is his first attempt at songwriting and recording. Until now, he had never written or recorded music, making the single a major step into unfamiliar territory driven by his long-standing love of singing.
That step has already been met with encouraging support. “Wyatt Earp” has featured on CountryLine Homegrown with Tim Prottey-Jones, giving Devan an early platform within the genre. He has described hearing the song played on air with family members present as a “full circle experience,” underlining how closely his music is tied to the people and life around him.
Devan balances his developing music career with work as a carpenter at Sovereign Quarter Horses in Cambridgeshire. He is also connected to their Rockin’ the Country festival, where he has previously performed and where he intends to hold his EP launch later this year. With future material such as “Better Man” drawing on the loss of his grandfather, Devan’s music is set to remain focused on resilience, family and identity.
