Stephen Wicks Sounds the Alarm With Apocalyptic New Single

“The Doomsday Clock (85 Seconds to Midnight)” finds Stephen Wicks sounding a clear alarm. The forthcoming single uses apocalyptic imagery to explore the sense that humanity is edging closer to crisis.

The song’s concept comes from the Doomsday Clock, a symbolic measure of global danger. In the release information, the clock’s 2026 setting of 85 seconds to midnight is presented as its closest point to midnight.

Wicks uses the track to address threats that dominate international debate, including climate change, nuclear proliferation, artificial intelligence and geopolitical instability. Its rock arrangement gives those subjects emotional force and momentum.

The single was produced by George Shilling and features lead guitar from Stefan Hauk. A music video is also planned, designed to visually capture the tension of a world running out of time.
